Have you ever wondered how those photographs made up of hundreds of tiny images are created? Artensoft Photo Collage Maker can combine hundreds – and even thousands – of other images to form the master image of your choice. The process is not an easy one, and it takes some time, millions of mathematical calculations using complex algorithms, and a pinch of your own creativity.
Unlike other similar photo collages that can only work with cells or squares of the same size, Artensoft’s tool can divide some of these cells into four parts for better detail. But the division process does not stop here – you can replicate this fragmentation process down to five levels, which will give you up to 256 smaller cells per each level 1 cell and an extremely high level of detail. Another possibility is to reduce the number of levels and increase the amount of base cells (or level 1 cells) you want the program to use to “paint” your master photo. The former option will result in an original mixture of cells of different sizes, while the latter produces more homogeneous – but also more foreseeable – results.
Though the mosaic generation process takes time and a large amount of complex calculations on the software side, it is a very simple process for the user to set up. The first of the five steps you need to complete is to choose a master image (this is the photograph that will be turned into a mosaic of tiny images at the end of the process). The second step requires you to select the images that will be used to fill in the cells. The more pictures you select, the easier it will be for the program to find the right color, the right tone, or that perfect background that matches the one in the original image perfectly. If you do not happen to have hundreds of images in your collection, the program provides you with entire image collections to add to your selection. The next step is to decide on the number of base cells and levels, and to launch the conversion process itself. The higher the number of cells and levels, the longer the process will take, but the closer to the original the resulting mosaic will look. Once the main conversion task has finished, you are given the possibility of reviewing and adjusting the photo collage by replacing any of the tiles with the image of your choice. The fifth and final step is to save your collage as a JPEG, PNG, BMP, or TIFF file.
It does not matter how complex the master photograph is or how many layers and textures it has – with your help, and as many images as you can find, Photo Collage Maker will find a way to turn it into an impressive photo mosaic.
